Since the onset of the summer vacation, Huaqiangbei in Shenzhen has experienced a global procurement frenzy, with AI hardware sales performing exceptionally well. Since the start of this year, Huaqiangbei has, on average, drawn close to 8,000 foreign merchants daily for their procurement needs. By July 2026, the share of AI products within Huaqiangbei's electronic product offerings had skyrocketed from 41% in 2025 to 61%. From January to July 2026, the sales of AI products across all categories in Huaqiangbei witnessed a year-on-year increase of over 55%, with AI glasses sales doubling and drone and robot sales growing by 60% to 70%.
