On August 4 (local time), Google announced that starting from August 10, 2026, the Gemini feature in Google Classroom will be available to students of all ages in K-12 and higher education, subject to administrator authorization. Through the Gemini tab, students can transform course materials into interactive learning tools such as flashcards and practice quizzes, or sync them to Gemini Notebook to generate study guides and audio overviews. Additionally, the update introduces a contextual guidance prompt feature, allowing students to select specific courses and assignments to receive targeted tutoring based on syllabi and assignment requirements.
