On July 22, reports indicated that during the first half of this year, Shanghai witnessed a remarkable surge in the export of AI-related products, encompassing servers, optical transceiver modules, integrated circuits, industrial-grade transformers, and energy storage batteries. The AI computing power industrial chain has emerged as a pivotal growth catalyst for Shanghai's export sector. Li Jirong, Deputy Director of the Statistical Analysis Division at Shanghai Customs, highlighted that this growth represents a structural and sustained uptick, fueled by the continuous iterative upgrades of leading industries such as integrated circuits and artificial intelligence. In contrast to the steady growth observed in traditional foreign trade categories, the AI-related industrial chain exerts a notably significant driving effect. Spanning from upstream foundational components like energy storage power equipment, through midstream computing power hardware such as integrated circuits and solid-state drives, to downstream computer servers, the AI industry has comprehensively unlocked the entire spectrum of Shanghai's high-end electronics foreign trade, fostering coordinated growth across all segments.
