Three sources have revealed that Meta is currently engaged in negotiations with Anthropic over a two-year cooperation agreement. Under this proposed arrangement, Meta plans to lease the computing capabilities of its AI data center to Anthropic, with the deal potentially reaching a staggering value of up to $10 billion. The initiative for this plan was put forward by Anthropic in June of this year and is presently under careful evaluation by Meta. Discussions regarding the finer transaction details are still ongoing.

As per the plan, Anthropic is expected to make monthly installment payments over the course of the two-year period. Furthermore, both parties reserve the right to terminate the agreement prematurely if necessary. It is worth noting that the scale of this computing power procurement represents only one-third of the contract that Anthropic signed with SpaceX in May of this year. Given that the negotiations are still in their early stages, there remains a degree of uncertainty as to whether this cooperation will ultimately materialize.
