On July 4, news emerged that Doubao had released an announcement indicating that, owing to adjustments in product functionalities, the agent function would be discontinued as of July 15, 2026. From that date onward, users will be barred from creating new agents, and the invocation of existing agents will no longer be possible. Following the discontinuation of this function, users will still retain the ability to view and save agent information as well as historical conversation data. Nevertheless, after October 15, 2026, Doubao will manage relevant data in compliance with its Privacy Policy, and it will become impossible to view or retrieve the data within the Doubao platform. Users are advised to take proactive measures to back up crucial content by employing methods such as taking screenshots or sharing and exporting text.
