On July 3, 2026, Alibaba's Damo Academy, in a collaborative effort with Renmin University of China and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, unveiled ElementsClaw—the pioneering AI agent specifically designed for the discovery of superconducting materials. Leveraging advanced algorithms, the agent successfully predicted the existence of 68,000 potential superconducting materials. Subsequently, four of these novel materials were synthesized and experimentally confirmed to exhibit superconductivity. All pertinent data related to this groundbreaking discovery has been made publicly accessible for further research and exploration.
