The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in collaboration with eight additional departments, has jointly released the Implementation Guidelines for Promoting High-Quality Development of the Industrial Internet. These guidelines aim to foster a deeper integration of artificial intelligence (AI) with the industrial internet. They encourage enterprises, research institutions, and other stakeholders to harness the omnipresent connectivity and data aggregation capabilities of the industrial internet for the training of large-scale industrial models as well as smaller, scenario-specific models. Additionally, the development of model interconnection interfaces is advocated to boost collaborative efficiency.
Simultaneously, the guidelines promote the adoption of innovative applications such as generative design, human-machine interaction, and production network optimization. They also emphasize the need to expedite the widespread adoption of industrial intelligent agents, enhance the intelligent perception, decision-making, and execution capabilities of industrial systems, and comprehensively elevate the intelligence levels across various stages, including design, pilot testing, production, service, and operation.
