On June 29, a report by Lanjing News revealed that several developers had received reminder emails from DeepSeek regarding an upcoming upgrade. The emails indicated that the official version of DeepSeek V4 is set to be released in mid-July, accompanied by a revised API pricing strategy. This new strategy will incorporate a peak-valley pricing mechanism aimed at optimizing resource allocation and bolstering service stability. According to the details provided in the emails, while the standard prices for the V4 Pro and V4 Flash models will remain unaffected, the API prices during peak usage periods will see a twofold increase compared to regular rates. Peak hours are defined as occurring daily from 9 AM to 12 PM and again from 2 PM to 6 PM.
