Archon Robotics, a company specializing in versatile full-body embodied AI, has recently declared the successful closure of its seed funding round, amassing hundreds of millions of yuan. This funding phase has drawn in prominent investment entities including ZhenFund, GaoRong Capital, IDG Capital, and 5Y Capital. Additionally, Gobi Partners & The University of Hong Kong Co-branded Fund, MiraclePlus, and the Shanghai Intelligent Industry Institute have also taken part. Lightspeed Capital played a pivotal role as the sole financial advisor for this funding endeavor. The capital raised will be predominantly allocated towards the R&D of a full-body humanoid foundational model, the gathering of multimodal full-body motion data, the augmentation of the talent pool, and the establishment of R&D centers across multiple locations, along with fostering an industrial collaboration ecosystem. The objective is to actualize an open-source humanoid foundational model within the current year.
