According to sources familiar with the matter, the restrictions could be lifted as early as next week. It is anticipated that relevant communications will persist through the weekend, suggesting that Anthropic may regain access to the model in the near future.

Furthermore, the U.S. Department of Commerce gave the green light on Friday for Anthropic to restore access to its Mythos 5 model for a select group of trusted users. In a letter addressed to Anthropic, Commerce Secretary Lutnick highlighted the company's collaborative efforts with the U.S. government in mitigating the risks associated with both Mythos 5 and Fable 5 models. Lutnick noted that significant strides have been made in this regard. Anthropic has pledged to maintain its cooperation with the government concerning agreements, standards, and future releases.
