On June 24, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) unveiled the roster of exemplary AI application cases for the year 2025. Jiangsu Province emerged with 36 cases, securing the second-highest tally nationwide. Notably, three cases hailing from Nantong were included, distinguishing it as the sole city in central and northern Jiangsu with projects on the list. The project titled "AI-Assisted Green Ship and High-End Offshore Engineering Design" from China Merchants Shipbuilding Haimen Base garnered national acclaim.
