Today, the Baidu Qianfan team made an announcement that, with immediate effect, the renewal service for all packages under the Baidu Qianfan Coding Plan will cease. This AI-powered coding subscription service, launched in February 2026 by Baidu Smart Cloud's Qianfan Large Model Platform, is tailored to offer individual developers holistic support throughout the entire coding journey, from writing and understanding to optimizing code.

It boasts a standardized interface design, guaranteeing seamless compatibility with popular AI programming tools like Claude Code and Cursor. Additionally, it integrates a variety of code generation and comprehension models, such as GLM-4.7 and DeepSeek-V3.2. Developers can effortlessly switch between these models with just a single click in the console.

This change impacts three types of users. Firstly, developers who have already purchased Coding Plan packages can continue to utilize them until their current service period concludes. Secondly, for users with automatic renewal enabled, this function will be deactivated 30 days following the announcement. Nevertheless, they can still enjoy the benefits of their purchased packages until the service expires. Finally, once a package expires, renewals will no longer be available, and the associated service benefits will come to an end.
