On June 26, a collaborative effort between the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the National Science Library of the Chinese Academy of Sciences culminated in the launch of 'MarineMat AI,' an AI-driven research assistant dedicated to pivotal marine materials. Utilizing cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology, this platform seamlessly integrates literature, data, and knowledge, thereby offering intelligent support to facilitate the research and development of essential marine materials. MarineMat AI specifically tackles challenges such as lengthy R&D cycles and fragmented literature by offering three core functionalities: a knowledge question-and-answer module, a material retrieval system, and a performance comparison tool. These features collectively empower researchers to swiftly access the information they need. Presently, the platform's primary focus lies on wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant metal-ceramic composite material systems. However, plans are in place for continuous iteration and enhancement, with the aim of incorporating additional data resources to construct an even more comprehensive and intelligent research assistant.
