On the evening of June 6, Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, shared a meal with prominent South Korean business leaders—Chey Tae-won, Chairman of SK Group; Koo Kwang-mo, Chairman of LG Group; and Lee Hae-jin, Chairman of the Board of NAVER—at a barbecue restaurant in Seoul. The menu featured classic Korean dishes, including grilled pork belly and soju. During an interview, Huang revealed that NVIDIA is set to launch four innovative businesses in South Korea. These include the next-generation AI superchip platform "Vera Rubin," the "Vera" central processing unit, the first series of AI laptops "RTX Spark," and the edge AI computing platform "Jetson Thor," specifically designed for next-generation humanoid robots and embodied AI.
Furthermore, NVIDIA has announced plans to establish a new AI technology center in South Korea. The company is actively recruiting AI technology research engineers and robotics engineering technicians in the country.
Last year, during Huang's previous visit to South Korea, he dined with Chung Euisun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, and Lee Jae-yong, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, in Seoul’s Gangnam District. This time, however, Chung and Lee were unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts. Nevertheless, Chung is expected to meet with Huang at Hyundai Motor's headquarters on the 8th.
