On June 1, it was reported that the General Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government has recently unveiled the '15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Service Industry in Shanghai'. This plan aims to delve deeper into the development of novel services rooted in intelligent technologies. It includes a strong push for AI software technologies and services, with a particular focus on areas such as facial and image recognition, AR/VR technologies, intelligent transportation systems, smart logistics, online education, and energy management, with the goal of establishing an industrial cluster for AI software technology and services.
Simultaneously, the plan underscores the importance of 'AI+' research and development, emphasizing the need for technological advancements and data management in sectors like biomedicine, new materials, and new energy. Moreover, the plan advocates for the creation of comprehensive embodied intelligent service products tailored to scenarios like home automation, elderly care, cultural tourism, and commerce, fostering the evolution of robots towards general intelligence and specialized service functions for specific scenarios.
Regarding intelligent computing cloud services, the plan proposes to bolster the intelligent computing cloud network through a coordinated layout of computing, transportation, and storage resources. It aims to drive integrated innovation between AI technologies and cloud computing, and popularize the Model as a Service (MaaS) concept. For cloud platform services, the plan envisions the creation of numerous 'AI+' service benchmark scenarios across vertical domains such as finance, healthcare, and cultural tourism.
