On May 29, the Brain-Computer Interface Future Industry Conference, held concurrently with the 2026 World Intelligence Industry Expo, took place in Tianjin. During this significant event, the Tianjin Brain-Computer Interface Industry Consortium was officially inaugurated, signifying a fresh phase of market-driven and systematic development for the brain-computer interface sector in Tianjin. The consortium, which has received joint funding from the Haihe Laboratory of Brain-Computer Interaction and Human-Machine Integration, Tianda Science Park Co., Ltd., and Tianjin Teda Investment Holding, will prioritize the engineering and commercialization of intellectual property. It aims to establish a state-of-the-art smart manufacturing hub and a capital operation platform, fostering an industrial ecosystem that seamlessly integrates industry, academia, research, and practical applications.
