Microsoft has recently declared the full-scale availability of its health management service, Copilot Health, across the United States, foregoing the need for a staged rollout. Integrated as an independent health module within the Copilot platform, this service is designed to offer users personalized health analysis and tailored recommendations. It achieves this by consolidating data from wearable devices, medical records, and laboratory test results. At present, access to Copilot Health is limited to Microsoft 365 subscribers in the U.S. who are at least 18 years old and utilize the English language interface.
Copilot Health boasts compatibility with health data from over 50 types of wearable devices and seamless integration with the records of more than 50,000 healthcare institutions nationwide. The service excels in analyzing health trends, such as sleep patterns and exercise routines, and is capable of generating insightful questions for users to consider prior to medical consultations. Microsoft is keen to stress that Copilot Health is not intended to provide medical diagnoses or issue prescriptions; rather, it functions strictly as a health data assistant. Furthermore, the company assures users that their health data will be encrypted for security and will not be utilized for training AI models.
