In a bid to rival U.S. competitors, French AI startup Mistral is set to bolster its infrastructure by developing its own layout and is also looking into crafting proprietary chips. This move is aimed at slashing the expenses associated with AI token invocation and deployment. At present, the company is utilizing NVIDIA for its related testing needs. Mistral has declared its intention to construct a specialized AI inference data center in France. Moreover, it has already funneled a total of €4 billion into data centers throughout France and Switzerland, with the goal of amplifying its computational capabilities and addressing Europe's deficiencies in computing infrastructure. These computing resources will be allocated primarily to enterprise clients. Furthermore, Mistral has introduced a cutting-edge agent platform named "Vibe" tailored for businesses. This platform is capable of autonomously handling tasks like document drafting and code writing. The company has set an ambitious target of reaching €1 billion in revenue by 2026.
