YouTube has unveiled a pair of enhancements to its AI video labeling functionality. The first upgrade involves relocating the AI video labeling tags to a more conspicuous spot, ensuring they are more easily noticeable by viewers. The second improvement introduces an automatic tagging system: if the platform's algorithms discern clear indicators of realistic AI manipulation within a video, tags will be appended automatically.
Content creators retain the ability to modify the disclosure status of any content that has been inaccurately identified, directly through YouTube Studio. Moreover, for videos produced utilizing YouTube's proprietary AI tools or those bearing C2PA metadata confirming their origin as entirely generative AI, the disclosure label will be affixed permanently, providing transparency and context to viewers.
