In light of the confusion stemming from Doubao AI's restaurant reservation capability, Ni Fei, who serves as the President of ZTE's Terminal Business Division, clarified that the standard Doubao app presently lacks the capacity to facilitate genuine reservations. Users inadvertently treated simulated reservation information as authentic credentials, which ultimately resulted in unsuccessful reservation attempts. Nevertheless, Ni Fei underscored that the Nubia M153 engineering prototype, which incorporates the Doubao mobile assistant, is capable of executing cross-application tasks. These tasks include voice-command-driven restaurant selection and group meal reservations. During an on-site demonstration, Ni Fei showcased the complete process of utilizing voice commands to direct the Doubao mobile assistant in filtering restaurants and finalizing reservations. He highlighted that this functionality is poised to significantly augment user convenience in everyday scenarios.
