Former Apple CEO John Sculley stated that OpenAI represents the biggest competitive threat Apple has faced in 15 years. This comes just a week after Tim Cook stepped down as CEO to become executive chairman, with both Apple and OpenAI exploring the development of next-generation AI products. Sculley revealed that Apple plans to launch wearable AI devices, while former Apple chief designer Jony Ive is collaborating with OpenAI to create AI-driven hardware products. Sculley believes this could threaten Apple's technological dominance and lead to a division in consumer loyalty. However, Sculley affirmed the strength of Apple's management team and suggested that Apple should remain steadfast to its successful foundation of crafting beautiful products without compromise as it enters its 50th year of operation.
