Professor Peng Xinhua and Professor Jiang Min, hailing from the Spin Magnetic Resonance Laboratory at the University of Science and Technology of China, along with their dedicated research team, have made significant strides in the realm of quantum sensing. They have successfully pioneered the development of molecular nuclear spin hyperpolarization technology and, in a groundbreaking move, applied it to the field of quantum sensing. For the first time ever, they have realized a magnetic field signal amplification technology that leverages hyperpolarized molecular nuclear spins. This innovative approach has dramatically enhanced the responsiveness of nuclear spins to weak magnetic fields, amplifying it by at least four orders of magnitude. The pertinent research findings were published online on April 2, 2026, in the esteemed journal Physical Review Letters, under the captivating title "Hyperpolarized Molecular Nuclear Spins Achieve Magnetic Amplification."
