The White House and Anthropic have not immediately responded to requests for comment, but sources close to the negotiations stated that it would be 'extremely irresponsible' for the U.S. government to deprive the country of the technological advantages gained from this model. Mythos was announced on April 7 and is being deployed as part of Project Glasswing, with the U.S. government planning to provide a version of it to major federal agencies. Despite the Pentagon severing business ties with Anthropic due to a contract dispute, the company is still in consultations with the Trump administration regarding the Mythos model.
