According to Changzhou Release, the Photonmatrix portable laser mosquito repellent device, developed by Changzhou Guangzhiju Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., has created a buzz on the overseas crowdfunding platform Indiegogo. Initially set with a crowdfunding goal of $20,000, the campaign ultimately amassed over $1.6 million, exceeding the target by a staggering 80 times and drawing support from more than 2,600 overseas backers, with orders selling out rapidly.

Equipped with an AI vision module, this innovative device can precisely identify targets ranging from 2 to 20 millimeters in size, activating a high-energy pulsed laser within a mere 0.003 seconds. It is capable of shooting down up to 30 mosquitoes per second, boasting an effective range of 6 meters and maintaining a stable detection rate of over 95%. To date, the product has secured over 3,000 orders, totaling more than $2 million. The first batch of 5,000 units is anticipated to be shipped this summer.
