On April 16, amid the rapid mass production and delivery of embodied AI robots, the need for robust after-sales maintenance services has become more apparent than ever. On April 15, JD.com unveiled its innovative 'Robot Ambulance' service, designed to provide all-encompassing maintenance and care for a wide range of robots, including humanoid, quadruped, and AI companion robots, across various scenarios. This comprehensive service encompasses basic repairs, fault diagnosis, battery replacement and recharging, testing and evaluation, cosmetic upkeep, and equipment recycling. Presently, the service has been initiated in Beijing, with plans to extend its reach to over 50 major cities across the nation within the next three years. To bolster this ambitious service network expansion, JD.com has also declared its intention to recruit more than 10,000 skilled robot maintenance professionals over the same period.
