Anthropic has recently overhauled Claude Code in its Claude desktop application, focusing on upgrading the 'parallel sessions' feature and introducing a new session sidebar, drag-and-drop workspace layout, and multiple developer workflow integration capabilities. The new sidebar centralizes all currently active and recently used sessions in one interface, allowing users to filter by status, project, or runtime environment, and supports grouping sessions by project. Additionally, the new version supports running multiple Claude instances in parallel within the same window, enabling users to freely arrange their workspace via drag-and-drop for personalized development environment configurations. The integrated terminal function allows users to run scripts and commands directly within the Claude Code interface, reducing the need to switch between different tools. Meanwhile, the new version also supports direct previewing of HTML files and PDF technical documentation, and allows connecting to remote servers via SSH, providing a seamless cloud-based development experience.
