On the 13th, spearheaded by the China Association for Science and Technology, the “Global AI Governance Science and Technology Community Initiative” was formally announced. This initiative was collaboratively crafted by 16 organizations, prominently including the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. The essence of this “Initiative” encompasses a multifaceted approach: ensuring AI’s positive impact on people's well-being, prioritizing safety to avert potential risks, upholding fairness to foster equilibrium, enhancing dialogue and mutual learning for collaborative efforts, and propagating constructive values to forge a consensus. Its overarching goal is to facilitate the creation of a global AI governance framework that is open, equitable, all-embracing, and efficacious.
