Recently, the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with five other departments, has jointly issued the 'Artificial Intelligence + Education' Action Plan. This initiative aims to foster the cultivation of AI talents and spur application innovation, coordinate the establishment of foundational environments and innovative ecosystems, and construct an education system tailored for the intelligent era. The plan delineates four primary objectives:

Firstly, it seeks to advance the cultivation and enhance the literacy of AI talents. This encompasses popularizing AI education among primary and secondary school students, nurturing high-caliber professionals, propelling the transformation of vocational education, and promoting AI education across society at large.

Secondly, the plan endeavors to facilitate the seamless integration of AI and education, empowering student learning, teacher instruction, school governance, and scientific research endeavors.

Thirdly, it emphasizes the reinforcement of the foundational environment for 'AI + Education.' This involves constructing a smart education base and fostering an application ecosystem conducive to AI integration in education.

Fourthly, the plan aims to optimize the development ecosystem of 'AI + Education' by deepening research and innovation, bolstering conditional support, expanding international cooperation, and fortifying security safeguards.

The overarching goal is to establish a comprehensive AI education system spanning all academic levels and a general education system for society as a whole by 2030, thereby ushering in a new paradigm of smart education.
