Market research firm eMarketer predicts that Meta's net advertising revenue will reach US$243.46 billion this year, surpassing Google's US$239.54 billion and making it the new giant in the global digital advertising business. Meta's advertising growth has been boosted by new advertising products such as Reels and artificial intelligence. Although Google still dominates search advertising, it faces competition from Meta, TikTok, and others, and its share of the US search advertising market is expected to fall below 50% for the first time in more than a decade.
