On April 7, AlmondNet and its subsidiaries IntentIQ and Datonics announced that they have resolved a patent infringement dispute with Amazon and reached a licensing agreement. The agreement resolves all pending matters between the two parties related to the asserted patents, with Amazon being granted the right to use AlmondNet Group's intellectual property portfolio. Previously, AlmondNet filed a lawsuit against Amazon in 2021, accusing it of infringing on a patent for 'privacy-friendly targeted advertising' technology. In 2024, a U.S. court ruled in favor of AlmondNet, finding Amazon liable for infringement and ordering it to pay nearly $122 million in damages.
