On April 4th, The New York Times reported that Elon Musk made a bold request to Wall Street advisors ahead of SpaceX's initial public offering (IPO): Banks, law firms, and other institutions participating in the IPO are required to purchase subscriptions to his AI chatbot, Grok. Some banks have already agreed to spend tens of millions of dollars and integrate the service into their IT systems. Additionally, Musk has also demanded that banks place ads on his social media platform, X. The IPO is expected to raise over $50 billion, with a valuation potentially exceeding $1 trillion. Five banks will serve as lead underwriters, including Bank of America, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley.
