On March 23, 2026, details regarding the Beijing Yizhuang Half Marathon and Humanoid Robot Half Marathon—co-hosted by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, China Media Group, the Chinese Institute of Electronics, and the World Robot Cooperation Organization—were officially announced. The event is set to commence on April 19, and will feature human runners competing alongside more than 300 humanoid robots representing 26 different brands. This year's marathon introduces an exciting new element: the robot 'Batulu' challenge. This challenge will take place on a specially designed track that includes a variety of scenarios and 17 demanding obstacles. The main race is scheduled for April 18, with a demonstration race occurring concurrently on the 19th.
