Square Enix announced that it will integrate Google's Gemini model into the popular online game 'Dragon Quest X' to assist new players in conversations. Additionally, the game will introduce a new companion character, Chatty Slimey, which integrates generative AI. This character can engage in automatic voice interactions and may even initiate conversations proactively. Since its launch in 2012, 'Dragon Quest X' has been in operation for over a decade. The Chinese version was launched in 2016 and discontinued in 2019. Currently, the game still has hundreds of thousands of active players each month, but attracting new players remains a major challenge.
