On March 19, 2026, AI programming platform Cursor released its second-generation self-developed models, Composer 2 and Composer 2 Fast, focusing on long-period agent programming with a 200,000 Token context window. Compared to the previous generation, the price per million Token input/output for the standard version of Composer 2 has dropped to $0.5 and $2.5, respectively, representing an 86% reduction; the Fast version has seen a price reduction of approximately 57%. Third-party testing shows that Composer 2 scored 61.7 in Terminal-Bench 2.0, outperforming Claude Opus 4.6.
