On March 20, at the Huawei China Partner Conference 2026, Huawei’s Senior Vice President and CEO of Huawei Cloud, Zhou Yuefeng, announced that Huawei’s self-developed Pangu large-scale model—developed through independent research—has open-sourced its full-scale version, with multimodal and other models to follow in a phased open-source release. In tandem, Huawei Cloud has rolled out access to state-of-the-art (SOTA) models, with its MaaS Tokens service integrating over 160 mainstream models and offering distinctive capabilities for post-training model optimization. Furthermore, Huawei Cloud plans to introduce a greater number of industry-specific intelligent agents this year, including the enterprise-level intelligent agent development platform AgentArts and the data-centric intelligent agent DataArts. Based on the AgentArts platform, the company is also expected to unveil a series of ‘Longxia’ intelligent agents in the second half of the year, tailored for applications in office automation, coding, marketing, and related domains.
