During the earnings analyst call for the third quarter of Alibaba Group’s 2026 fiscal year, CEO Wu Yongming revealed that Alibaba has successfully developed a comprehensive full-stack AI ecosystem, spanning from AI infrastructure to applications, and is intensifying its efforts to build out the MaaS (Model as a Service) platform. Over the preceding three months, token consumption within the public model service market on the Bailian MaaS platform has skyrocketed, experiencing a sixfold increase. This surge suggests that commercialized MaaS revenue is poised to become a significant revenue stream for Alibaba Cloud. Concurrently, as of the end of February 2026, Alibaba Cloud’s external commercial revenue has surpassed RMB 100 billion. The company has set an ambitious business goal to achieve over US$100 billion in combined cloud and AI commercial revenue within the next five years. Furthermore, the GPU chip, independently developed by T-Head, has entered mass production, with a cumulative delivery of 470,000 units as of February 2026.
