According to data from analytics firm AppMagic, generative AI apps paid Apple nearly $900 million in subscription revenue shares in 2025. Among this, approximately three-quarters of the App Store's revenue from generative AI apps came from OpenAI's ChatGPT, while xAI's Grok accounted for about 5%. Apple's revenue from generative AI apps increased from approximately $35 million in January 2025 to $101 million in August, before experiencing a decline.
