On March 18, Baidu revealed that He Jingzhou, previously with the Large Model Algorithm Department, has transitioned to the Mobile Ecosystem Business Group (MEG) to assume the role of leader at the Baidu APP R&D Center, under the supervision of Luo Rong. This strategic move is designed to foster a seamless blend of large-scale model technologies with essential operations like search and recommendation, enhancing the deployment of innovative technologies in pivotal areas. Prior to this, Zhao Shiqi, the former leader, departed from the company due to personal circumstances. Baidu has recently revamped the organizational framework of MEG by consolidating the PC and mobile search divisions, entrusting Li Xiaowan with the responsibility of user product management, and setting up new units, including the Baidu APP R&D Center and the Experience and Quality Assurance Center.
