At the 2026 AI DingTalk 2.0 Annual New Product Launch Event, Chen Hang, founder and CEO of DingTalk, unveiled Wukong, an AI-native work platform designed to revolutionize productivity. Zhu Hong, CTO of DingTalk, emphasized that Wukong incorporates a sophisticated six-layer progressive security framework, distinguishing it from competitors like OpenClaw’s AI Agent products. By simplifying operational complexity, Wukong significantly lowers the entry barrier for users while robustly addressing security vulnerabilities.
After nearly a year of intensive research, development, and iterative refinement, the project team has grown from its humble beginnings of two core members to a robust 20–30-person unit, with plans to allocate even greater resources in the coming phases. Wukong adopts a “platform-centric” business model, prioritizing flexible on-demand pricing and performance-based billing to align with user needs. Alibaba employees will serve as pioneering co-creators, spearheading large-scale real-world testing to validate functionality and user experience.
Zhu Hong also shared his forward-looking perspective on AI’s societal impact, asserting that rather than triggering widespread job displacement, AI is poised to amplify workplace efficiency while fostering new career opportunities across industries.
