On Monday, Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche announced that it will significantly expand its global artificial intelligence infrastructure by deploying a large-scale AI factory powered by NVIDIA's latest technology. With the addition of 2,176 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs distributed across local and hybrid cloud environments in the Americas and Europe, the total number of available GPUs will exceed 3,500, forming the largest announced GPU computing power cluster in the pharmaceutical industry. This move marks a new phase in the strategic collaboration between Roche and NVIDIA since 2023, as the AI factory will be fully integrated into Roche's value chain, accelerating processes such as new drug development.
