Recently, Tencent's newly launched AI platform, SkillHub, has become embroiled in a controversy regarding data scraping. Some users queried Peter Steinberger, the founder of OpenClaw, as to whether Tencent was scraping skills from Clawhub to incorporate them into SkillHub. Peter Steinberger mentioned that some individuals had voiced concerns, stating that Tencent's scraping rate limits were impeding rapid data acquisition. They accused Tencent of plagiarism and of failing to support the project adequately. These individuals also inquired whether Tencent's Hunyuan AI could help in managing server costs. In response, Tencent AI issued an official statement, clarifying that SkillHub is a localized skill platform built upon the OpenClaw ecosystem, specifically tailored for Chinese users. It serves as a local mirror site, with clear attribution given to the original sources. During its inaugural week, despite high distribution volumes on SkillHub, the volume of data pulled from the official source remained relatively low. Moreover, Tencent's team members have also made contributions to the OpenClaw project, and they expressed their hope to continue supporting the ecosystem. Previously, Tencent had announced the launch of SkillHub, an AI Skills community optimized for Chinese users. Constructed on the foundation of the OpenClaw open-source ecosystem, the platform aims to offer supporting services and address challenges encountered during the Skill installation process. Recently, OpenClaw has garnered significant attention for its ability to transform natural language into practical actions, earning it the industry moniker 'Lobster AI.'
