Anthropic released a report titled 'The Impact of AI on the Labor Market: New Metrics and Early Evidence,' revealing that AI is disrupting workplace norms: industries that adopt and deeply integrate AI earlier are the first to face the risk of being restructured or even replaced. The report points out that AI is systematically 'de-skilling' jobs, stripping away the high-intelligence components of work and leaving only low-value execution tasks. An analysis of 800 occupations in the United States shows that professions such as programmers, customer service representatives, and data entry clerks have the highest AI penetration rates, at approximately 70%, while only about 30% of workers in professions like cooking remain uncovered by AI. Follow-up studies also found a slight increase in unemployment rates among populations highly exposed to AI, suggesting that over-reliance on AI could create a closed loop of 'AI learns → replaces humans → restructures industries.'
