On March 4, during the 2026 National Two Sessions, Lei Jun, a deputy to the National People's Congress and the visionary founder of Xiaomi Group, put forward five insightful proposals. These proposals span across five pivotal domains: the advancement of general-purpose humanoid robots, the integration of technology in public welfare initiatives, the establishment of a smart vehicle traffic safety and civility framework, the nurturing of multifaceted talents for the intelligent connected new energy vehicle sector, and the promotion of industrial tourism.

Regarding humanoid robots, Lei Jun advocated for swiftly overcoming engineering hurdles to facilitate large-scale production. He emphasized the need to broaden their application spectrum within smart manufacturing environments and underscored the importance of fortifying the safety standard infrastructure.

In the realm of public welfare technology, Lei Jun urged the creation of a more conducive institutional landscape for public welfare foundations, thereby fostering an environment that supports and encourages technological innovation.

Turning to smart vehicles, Lei Jun proposed a collaborative effort to construct a comprehensive traffic safety and civility system. He also stressed the urgency of expediting the formulation of technical standards for vehicle intelligence. To address the talent gap in the intelligent connected new energy vehicle industry, he suggested the establishment of a primary interdisciplinary domain dedicated to 'intelligent electric vehicles.'

Furthermore, Lei Jun recommended optimizing the developmental ecosystem for industrial tourism, thereby accelerating the emergence of novel business models and application scenarios.
