At the Mobile AI Industry Summit held during MWC 2026 Barcelona, Huawei and China Mobile jointly unveiled the AI+ network implementation achievements of the advanced demonstration zone for 2025. China Mobile, having constructed the world’s largest 5G and 5G-A networks, further advanced its AI+ network strategy in 2025 to establish an intelligent operation and maintenance system. Through collaborative innovation, the two partners accomplished the world’s first large-scale deployment of wireless network intelligent agents. They set up wireless advanced self-intelligent network demonstration zones across eight provinces, encompassing numerous sites and cells, and successfully completed intelligent upgrades for 5G sites. This marks significant breakthroughs in capability enhancement, interactive efficiency, and process reengineering. Looking ahead, the two companies will pursue three key innovation pathways: transitioning from local optimization by individual agents to global optimization through multi-agent collaboration; evolving from decision-making support to autonomous decision-making by intelligent agents; and shifting from reactive post-event responses to proactive perception and predictive analytics.
