On the afternoon of March 4, Lin Junyang, the pivotal leader behind Alibaba’s QianWen large-scale model, posted a message on his Moments (a social media feature similar to Stories), stating that he would not be answering any messages or calls that day because he needed rest. He also encouraged his team to persist in their efforts and carry on with their work as scheduled. Earlier that same morning, Lin Junyang had announced his resignation on social media, bidding farewell to the QianWen team.
