Recently, Alibaba DAMO Academy forged a strategic partnership through a memorandum of understanding with leading Pakistani institutions, including the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Khwaja Muhammad Safdar Medical College, and cloud computing firm Sky47. The collaboration aims to jointly advance the deployment of DAMO Academy’s cutting-edge AI technology for multi-cancer screening. This innovative solution will be seamlessly integrated into radiology departments across Pakistan, enhancing the detection of critical conditions such as pancreatic, gastric, colorectal, and esophageal cancers, as well as fatty liver disease. By leveraging this technology, Pakistan is poised to significantly strengthen its digital health infrastructure and improve early cancer diagnosis and treatment outcomes.

Sky47 will play a pivotal role in this initiative by providing the necessary infrastructure and technical support to ensure the widespread adoption—or "rollout," as it is commonly referred to in technical contexts—of the AI technology. To date, DAMO Academy has already delivered over 20 million instances of multi-cancer screening AI services to medical institutions across 10 countries and regions worldwide, demonstrating its global impact and expertise in the field.
