On the morning of March 2 (local time), the AI chatbot Claude, developed by Anthropic PBC, along with its consumer-oriented application services, encountered a temporary outage. Based on data from Downdetector, the outage reached its zenith at approximately 6:40 AM New York time, with close to 2,000 users reporting interruptions in service. Anthropic clarified that while consumer-facing platforms like claude.ai and the company's applications were rendered inaccessible, enterprise clients who had integrated the Claude model into their systems remained unaffected.
