On the morning of March 2 (local time), Anthropic PBC's artificial intelligence chatbot, Claude, along with its consumer-oriented applications, encountered a transient service interruption. Data from Downdetector revealed that approximately 2,000 users encountered problems at the height of the outage. Anthropic PBC explained that it had been preoccupied with handling an 'unprecedented' level of demand over the preceding week and clarified that the integration of models for enterprise clients remained unscathed by the disruption.
