On February 28, the 2026 Humanoid Robots and Embodied Intelligence Standardization (HEIS) Annual Conference was held in Beijing. Peng Zhihui, co-founder, president, and CTO of Zhiyuan Robotics, revealed at the conference that the number of domestic humanoid robot complete machine (complete machine) enterprises has exceeded 140, with 330 products launched. The industry has moved from the laboratory demonstration stage to a new phase of engineering and scenario-based competition. Peng Zhihui pointed out that the current flexibility of robot bodies already meets practical needs, and future competition will focus on work capabilities. The competition will not only be among domestic enterprises but also with leading overseas companies to see who can be the first to achieve true implementation in the 'deployment state.'
