On March 2, Akshay Kothari, co-founder of Notion, announced that Notion Custom Agents has officially integrated its first open-source weight model, MiniMax M2.5, and made it available to users as an experimental feature. This model is presented independently in the model selection list, alongside models such as Claude Sonnet 4.6. Kothari stated that for simple tasks, the cost of using MiniMax M2.5 is significantly lower than that of closed-source models. This marks the first time a Chinese open-source large model has entered Notion's core ecosystem.
